03 d/a went mudding last weekend with it. Sat for a week. Crank no start, even tried ether. Not firing at all. While mudding it would cut out but then clear out. Ran fine when i parked it. Any ideas???? Also there is muddie water residue in the intake pipe off of the aircleaner, think i did any damage???

Wierd!! try unplugging the banks and then try to start the truck. How much water was inside the intake tube and how far did it get??? I would pull the intake and take a look to see if you ingested a good amount of water if the pulling the banks doesn't work.

Hopefully you haven't ingested much water if any. It is not made for water. I second removing the banks and trying again. I would check everything over before trying it though first. maybe take the intake off and see as far as you can inside. Check for signs of mud and water.

Wierd part is it ran when i parked it. Went home this afternoon and it started, but ran like crap intermitently. Its almost like it is hickuping. checked codes at it threw a timing signal A too high???? For the most part it ran strong???

perhaps you have a sensor that got waterlogged, etc. i seriously suggest you check your intake tube. that is NOT the place you want dirt/mud/etc...

good luck.. maybe you should get a snorkel for mudding.. were you running the stock paper filter or a conical one like an AFE, etc? if you are i would stick the stock paper filter back in for mudding...

Didnt believe it was that much water, only a foot or to deep, but with speed i guess its an issue. Bad design on the location of the intake. Never had this problem with previous bowties. Stock intake with k&n filter. Think its in either the stock or banks harness because when it acts up i wiggle the harnesses and it goes away. (Under hood harnesses) Have not had time to dig deeper yet. Thanks

try some dielectric grease on the connector's pins.
