Where is a good place to try to sell a tractor I have a Farmall 806 Diesel I don't need. Does anyone know a good site or what not to list it at? Thanks

When ya find one let me know too. Tractor House and Machine Finder work well I guess but the cost money.

The only free online listing I know of is usfarmer.com I have a couple implements on there now. Tractorhouse is probably the best for overall exposure, but their ads are $40/week with a 4 week minimum. If you're not a 'dealer', they put you in the 'showcase' section which is about 2-3 pages worth near the middle of the issue and features private individual listings.

Fastline is another one to mention that is very similar.

For the record, MachineFinder is primarily JD dealership listings.

The only other thing to try is farmworld newspaper. A lot of farmers are still looking at print adds versus online. Not sure of their fees though.

Craig's List is free. No harm in putting it there.

Probably not, but I'm not sure many farmers near OH would be looking at craig's list. Thing about tractors is that most would-be buyers will want to check it out in person before buying. I have a nice JD (http://www.tractorhouse.com/listings/detail.aspx?OHID=5465022&GUID=51F036B282454904AF6F668FCFD0B528) for sale right now on tractorhouse and can hardly get anyone to make the drive to see it in person, let alone buying it unseen across the country. I think you'd be better served sticking with a traditional agricultrual marketplace to find your local buyers.

Tractors for sale on ebay scare me for some reason:;

What harm is there to putting it on Craigslist? It's free, takes only a couple minutes to put an ad up, you honestly have nothing to lose. We have bought on everything from suitcase weights to tractors on Craigslist...its worth a shot.

By the way, picture of 806? SN by chance?

put it in Farmworld. Not free but a lot of exposure there.

Craigslist is good, but lots of things I have sold on craigslist, I get telemarketer calls, put your truck/motorcycle etc on our website on consignment. I hate getting those calls, but its free

Have you tried Country Living, our local monthly farmer classified? I would also suggest listing on www.enginads.com (http://www.enginads.com) in the tractor section. Free registration and ad. Only ask for a tiny commission in return. I've used it to sell some hit and miss engines and parts in the past.

tractor house is where I would recommend. We have sold a Case 8950 tractor and a DMI 527 ripper through Tractor House. Received lots of interest from Tractor House!

I still have it. I moved it to my grandpas barn and it had a small power steering leak and I haven't had a chance to fix it yet. So I want to get that fixed before trying to sell it. Are you interested?

I didn't have much luck on the ytmag site.I tried to sell my old Farmall M on there last fall.I only got 2 responses I think.When you price a 1941 model that is near perfect except for paint at 1700 you would think it would atleast generate a little more interest than that.Hech I even offered to deliver it to the 1 guy for a dollar a mile!It was like 500 miles.
