Tuesday before Thanksgiving we got a late start headed to an RV resort to spend the holiday. We hit rush hour traffic, so our 2 hour trip turned into a 4 hour bumper to bumper journey.
This was the first time I had towed the 5th wheel with the new truck in this much traffic. It did really well and I was surprised when I filled up the tank to discover we averaged 9.5 MPG in stop and go traffic. I was expecting it to be much worse, down around 8 MPG.
