I am looking at getting a set of wheels for my truck.I do not want to lift it,just crank the torsion bars up.So I am wondering if I can get a set of 16x10's on it or if I should go with a set of 16x8.Thanks guys,by the way great site.I am a converted F#&d man.

What size tires do u want to run?
The best deal on rims is the H2 17" ones.

16x10 with 285/75/16 will not fit. UNLESS you trim a lot of inner fender and lower valance. A 16x8 with 285/75/16 does work. This is first hand info.

I was looking at 16x10's or 16x8 because I want the wide tires look. I was thinking 16x10's would not work with 285/75-16s because the tire could not be put on a rim that wide. But if they can I might be looking into 16x10's. The smallest backspacing on 8in rims i can find is 4". Anyone know what the backspacing and width of factory rims are?

285 will fit on a 16x10 but will look like this.....

They will be buldged. I ran this set up for 2 weeks before my lift. it rubbed BAD!!! Just giving you fair warning. It will only work with a sawzall massacre!
You can look around, you can find wheels with 3-5/8" BS. A stock wheel has 5" BAS. Any other questions, let me know.
FYI, here is my truck with 16x10's, 285/75/16 and bars cranked.
