Thanks

I don't think that DIY was for a 6.5. I sure did not evan get close to taking the starter and wheel well out.

Find the water pump
Drain coolant
remove fan
remove fan belt
start taking out the bolts
oil fill cap

remove the vac pump and the main support for the power steering pump (you do not have to remove the pump)

the entire front cover will come off
the bolts that hold the water pump on are on the back of the front cover

I hope you can follow I just did it today so it is clear in my mind but it may not apear so in writing lol.

mabye I can post some pics

Sure did, but I don't think that is the same engine as mine. I have the L56.
Will look around some more.
Thanks

Hey thanks much, I was quite sure that the new trucks were a lot different.
I have to gather the tools together and drive 180 miles to get to the truck, so I thought a tutorial would list the needed wrenches etc. Its a long drive to get a different socket. <bg>

I believe I only used a 13mm and 15mm. take wrenches too for some of the bolts, and deep sockets, some of the bolts are extended so a reg socket wont cut the cheese.
