OK, so someone cut all the wiring harnesses off the speaker wires(at the speakers) on my 06 ccsb. I finally found some oem bose speakers. I figured out a way to fashion a harness but the speaker is not labeled +/- instead it has A/B labeled on the speaker. So is A the same as + ? Also I found a post on here which tells which wire colors are +/- but the post is for an 05, did GM change wire colors for 06 or are they the same? Any input is appreciated.

Left + Front: Tan Right + Front: LIGHT GREEN
Left - Fornt: Gray Right - Front: DARK GREEN

Left + Rear: BROWN Right + Rear: DARK BLUE
Left - Rear: YELLOW Right - Rear: LIGHT BLUE

Those colors have always been assigned like that. Even on my '82 camaro.

What my book says...
LF
A_Gray_(-)
B_Tan _(+)

RF
A_Dk Green_(-)
B_Lt Green_(+)

So, all "A"s are Negative
All "B"s are Positive

Out of curiosity, would it really matter if they were mixed up?

With the wires reversed on only one side, the low tones (bass) from each speaker would counteract each other, causes poor bass performance.

With both sides reversed, the sound would be more "muffled".

A cheap way to test any speaker for polarity is to connect (just momentarily) a "AA" battery across the terminals. If the battery (+) is on the speaker (+), the speaker cone will extend. If the battery is connected backwards, the speaker cone will retract.

The easiest way to verify polarity, without tearing anything apart, is to turn the volume up past normal listening level, and verify that the sound is as "clean" when the balance is centered as it is when the balance is set to either the Left or the Right. It helps to set the bass control up a bit if your hearing is getting like mine. This will tell if one side is reversed.

everything went well except the rear speaker wire colors were yellow/brown on both sides but I just hooked them up accordingly and all seemed to work out. So diagram below is not exactly correct.

Left + Front: Tan Right + Front: LIGHT GREEN
Left - Fornt: Gray Right - Front: DARK GREEN

Left + Rear: BROWN Right + Rear: DARK BLUE
Left - Rear: YELLOW Right - Rear: LIGHT BLUE
