I have a 2005 GMC W5500 with the 5.2L 4cyl turbo diesel. The check engine light came on today & I must be in some sort of "limp" mode because my non-existant power has dissapeared. I could get outran by a 3 legged dog named Tripod.

Code P0400 EGR Fault is stored. Bringing her in in the AM for warranty repairs. The parts rep said it's a common failure.

Here's my questions. I see that Many of you are doing EGR block off mods. Does anyone know if a plate is available for mine? If so, how do I not trip the CEL again?

It just needs and new EGR valve and ECM reprogram.
