Hi Everyone,

Is the air box just held on the studs by rubber grommets? Do you just lift the box off the grommets?

Thanks,
Dan

There are a couple of nuts over the grommets. Or at least my '95 has them, but that is it, just pull it out.

Mine had two 1/2" bolts through the fenderwell holding the backet to the airbox to the fenderwell.

My 00 just has one bolt from under the fender well, easily removed from above the tire and out she comes, simple.

Exactly as quantum mechanic described. Mine is a 95' too and is set up that way.

Obviously you get more air flow with the box off, but what problems would I run into if I took it off? I am using a K&N air filter (if it matters).

Hot underhood air can drive your intake air temps through the roof during summer months causing defueling by the PCM and possible engine damage.
