I am new to the diesel world. I just purchased a 04 with a lb7. It came with a magnaflow catback. My question is, will i gain anything from replacing the front pipe? When I say front pipe I am refering to the pipe that goes from the downpipe to just before the muffler.

You will not gain too much as the pipe you will be replacing is 3.5" straight through and not very long. If you are going for every little bit then do it.
