Well i had my truck at our shop and i pulled the side tank down and am winterizing the fuel lines. Most of the fuel line is wrapped up with the 2 coolant lines running to the hot fox in the tank. But the fuel line going to the electric lift pump and then back up to the coolant lines was not wrapped. So pulling the tank down i was able to get that part and the pump wrapped up with some extra coolant line that i added. Hope that works.
While working on the fuel lines, i installed a boiler air remover.....i forgot what its called now but its used on boiler heating systems or infloor heating. I got the idea from my electric infloor setup i have in my garage and basement.
I plumbed it in right next to my fuel pressure gauge which is right before the heated raycor filter setup. Before this i kept getting air in the filter, must just have been when running the tank under 1/4 and picking up air here and there which is probrably normal due to no baffling in the fuel tanks.
I havent run on WVO since i added this but i did run the WVO lift pump and pressurized the fuel line to 9 psi. The air vent works great, i could hear it removing the air and watched the pressure drop as it did so and then it would rebuild agian.
I dont think i will have any more air problems. What do you guys think?? It might even be beneficial to add the the diesel side as well. No more trying to purge the lines.
