Truck is on the way. I'm trying to do some estimating on where I will stand on hitch weight, etc and was hoping a similiar owner would have approximate weight of loaded, gassed and hitch installed truck. Wife and I weigh 280 - no dog, http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif our new home won't be his new home. GMC says GVWR for SRW is 9900#.

My 04 GMC 3500 SRW ex cab LB 4x4 with a full tank of fuel weighs 6900 lbs on a CAT scale. Nothing added on, just the truck before I started adding stuff. So this should be a pretty close baseline for ya.

you can throw all that factory gvw ratings out the window when you go to a 5th wheel.cause the gov dosent care what your truck weighs as long as you are tagged for it and have the tire capacity for it.my truck is tagged for 36000 and i pull at 32000-34000 every day.

I'll bet your ext cab 3500 SRW will weigh about the same as my CC long bed. About 7010 lbs with a full tank of fuel and no people.

Thanks everyone. I'll use 7100#. My SRW is factory rated at 9900# for GVW. 9900-7100 =2800. I think I should be ok with the HitchHiker factory hitch weight 2450#.
I know :badidea: to use factory specs. But can't weigh things because I don't have them yet.

All 3 of my 3500's weigh over 8000 pounds. Subtract the dually and the extra fuel tanks and I would say around 7600.
