I noticed that the rubber fuel lines that go to the filter housing are cracked and deteriorated. Is there anything special about diesel lines or just a regular fuel line. It is not high pressure until after the filter correct?

not high pressure, maybe 10 to 15 psi IF your running a lift pump. And yes the line must be diesel rated.

just get them from the dealer they arent too expensive and they have all the correct bends in them, I would also do the ones that go to the inj pump to.
