I don't know about cheap, was $135 for the set of 4, but I got the Helm's set for my 07.5 GMT900. It covers everything, not just engine and electrical. I got it from their online site. After much searching, it was the one that most recommended.

No, that one is for the 2008 model year. This is what you are looking for.
2007 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra/Sierra Denali Service Manual Set 4 Volume. Item/Part #: GMT07CK9PU
The first listings are for the Classic models then you get to the NBS. Hope this helps.

himaster has the correct part number, GMT07CK9PU. That's the one I got for my 07.5 LMM. The CK8PU is for the classic body style and the CK9PU is for the NBS.
Here's a link...hope this helps.

That's weird. I contacted Helms and just wanted to confirm that GMT07CK9PU was for NBS and not Classic, because it is not obvious from their website and i did not want to order the wrong set. This is the response I got back:

The only year that specified new or old body style was the year 2000.2007 will cover all body styles made in that year."

About as ambiguous as their website???

Yeah, not the greatest website, but excellent manuals! :)

GM doesn't release the service manuals for printing until the end of the model year. The reason for this is to cover any changes that occur during the model year. That's why they say it will cover both.

This brings up an interesting question. With a 2008 truck should I wait for the manual to specifically cover the 2008 models, or were the changes too minor to matter?

does it cover just the LMM, or does this one cover the classic as well?

It covers the LMM. I'm sure some stuff is the same but most of the illustrations I've seen so far are for the NBS.

good lord, $135 for the manuals and $24 for ground shipping??? are you kidding me? what do they weigh, are they oversized? that's just plain ridiculous.

It's about 5 books. About 2 1/2 to 3 inches thick and about 2000 to 3000 pages each. They are hefty.

There are four books. Each book has over 1000+ pages. I think the shipping weight was 20lbs or something like that. It's like getting four huge dictionaries.
