Would it be possible to make a 2wd into a 4wd straight axle with out spending a bunch of money??? If soo has anybody done this before .

It would be cheaper in the long run to just buy or trade for a 4X4. It can be done cheap but this depends on availability of parts, what kind of fabricator/mechanic you are and the time it will take you. For me time is money.

It can be done. You want leaf springs or coils? Leaf would be cheaper. The t-case would be a large part of the build. You can go aftermarket atlas, stak, low max and so on. You can get a divorce case that way you don't have to change the out put on the transmission.
