Hi everyone...Newbie here...I have had a 2000 GMC 6.5 TD LB Crewcab 4x4 since "01". I have never really paid much attention to it. I just drove it and changed the oil and filters and never had a problem. Recently I purchased a 33 foot 5th wheel toyhauler. I am now realizing that I need to pay a bit more attention to my truck. I must say "I am totally BLOWN AWAY by this site". In 3 hours of reading, I learned more about my truck than I have in the 4 years of ownership. The combined knowledge here is AWSOME. I will continue to read more before I start coming on here and asking stupid questions like "What is the best exhaust for my truck."..The FAQ thread gave me more info than I could ever have hoped to get from my dealer. I just want to thank all of you for putting on this forum and hope to learn alot more from you all soon...Thanks a bunch..Robert B.:D

K2500 or 3500? F engine?

It's a 3500 but I'm still trying to learn all the terminology so I don't know if it is an F engine or not. I know I've called it the F word while working on it before but I don't know if that counts.):h

It's the 8th vin# F or S or P for van, designates stock configuration/ecm.
3500 or 2500HD = F engine, simply better than the S.

Yes it's the F engine....see what I mean...I learn alot everyday on this site...You all are GREAT.
