I was wondering how much torque everyone is running with aftermarket rims. I have Eagle Alloy 187s with 14mm x 1.5 lugnuts. I just got them in today and was curious to see if the torque specs were any different for them. (I was reading the info that came with them and it was saying that for the size lugs to go 85-95ft/lbs.) Thanks for any reply I can get on this.

That's odd that they state to only torque to 95lbs. Factory spec is 140lbs for the lugs which is what I torque my welds to. You may want to contact eagle alloy and find out if that's a max torque for your wheels.

Thanks, I re-read the stuff that came with the wheels and I guess I skipped over the part that said to torque to vehicle manufacturers spec....if that isn't available, do the previous. Pretty strange that they would recommend that low of a torque for the studs our size. I appreciate the replies though.

I just got a set of American Racing Bajas to replace my Eagle 101's. Just be sure that you got the long lugs instead of the short ones. They can both come in 14mm x 1.5. Although the short ones will feels OK tightening, the tops will bulge out and the torque values will be miscalculated. I did this last night as I was test fitting and "making room" for the 285s.

That's pretty funny! I'm glad some people a good sense of humor:)

As for the deep lug nuts, I have them. They were sold with the rims.

I would like to see what your truck looks like with the BAJAs on it. been thinking about those for mine.

I'm gonna try to do it tonight.I'll post a pic when I'm done. I had the Eagle 101s on my 2002 GMC, but they didn't fit quite right when I tried to put them on my 2004. The backspace makes a big difference...

Did you crank your torsion bars at all? What brand mudflaps are those? Looks like you have more than 4.5" backspacing as well. I had to remove my front mudflaps because they were rubbing, but I haven't cranked my torsion bars at all. I am debating on doing it. I also need to have the alignment setup before I even attempt it.

The wheels have a 4.5 inch backspacing. This is why I got them as I had to crank and trim alot on my 2002 with the Eagles. IIRC, the Eagle 137's have a 4.5 inch backspacing. You should be OK in that respect. The bars do have to be cranked though. I give mine a full 3 turns on each side from the factory settings. Then I had to trim the lower corner of the GMC bumper. Then I had to zip tie the front part of the driver's side wheel well liner to a bumper bracket. All in all, very simple to do. A hell of alot easier than the fitting I had to do with my 2002.
BTW the mudflaps are the husky liners. Nice setup. If you need more room with mud flaps, try the GM flaps. They use a fender support bolt as part of the mounting and do not go all the way into the wheel well as others do.
Also, my truck is a gasser, so it sits a little higher from the get go...

Thanks for the reply. I will probably try to get about an inch of lift on the front with the torsion bars. Hopefully that will give me the clearance that I need. I already trimmed the front bumper yesterday. I also got tired of trying to pull the front fender liner back and just trimmed the corner out of it. I had reshaped it once. It was a lot easier than trying to tie it back. I had the factory GM mudflaps on the front, but I didn't have the clearance to keep them. I even tried to trim them....not a good fix. I will probably have to get another set when I get the torsion bars adjusted and front end alignment. Thanks for the reply.
