I have a 4x4 and my mpg avg around 12-13 in the city with only 5600 miles. I know it gets worst than a 2wd, but by how much ??

I also have a new '05 CC/SB, and I never see less than 17.5 is city, with a bit of doggn' it and leaving it idle when I go into some stores (using the second door remote).

That's with the DIC though.

Don't trust your DIC. To get accurate MPG results you gotta do it by hand.

I've got 6k on mine and only get 16.2-16.5 to & from work, all city.

You are basically at the same elev./temp as me, I'd guess you are actually

getting a little less, but who knows.

I have both and the differance is trivial.

From past experience and what I have heard the mpg difference between 2wd and 4wd should be very minimal on HD diesels. I would think this is because these trucks are on the heavy side and the engines have so much torque.

I have 2004.5 2WD. Get about 16.5 mpg mixed driving calculated by hand. DIC usually shows about 1.5 mpg higher.
