Nick,

I would like to level my truck out a bit and I am pretty sure the OEM shocks are sacked out. When I was under there working on the BD Manifold I noticed the rubber bumper rests on the lower A arm so I figure the front shocks are for sure shot. I have not touched the t bars either.

I have just over 100k mi. on it and I tow a 29ft toybox with a tongue wgt of about 1200lbs is my guess. Its all stock tires and suspension no lifts. I do have air bags in back to help with the sag a$$ when towing. What would you suggest doing for shocks and leveling. The same thing Alisobob did?

I was thinking of putting Rancho 9k's on so I could adjust them when towing but am not sure. I plan on keeping the whole system stock with no lifts. I may go to 265 tires next time.

Thats Normal for the Jonce stops to rest on lower control arms when truck is stock.

I believe the bumpstops are supposed to touch the a-arm, at least mine do. I have heard the cognito uca's are a nice way to level your truck. If the bumpstops are incorrect I would like to know also.

OK that is normal for the stops to rub or touch with a stock suspension cool thanks guys.

Nick,

Just want to add one thing to my post above when I said I don't plan on lifts that is true but I do plan on leveling with the Cognito UCA kit and maybe sticking in the idler/pit arm support kit.

Ya, the bump stops do rest on the Control Arms. Definately go with the Cognito Leveling kit. Because even if you don't want to lift now, if in the future you decide to lift, the cognito kit goes with a cognito lift. So it wont be like you wasted your money. As for Shocks, I would suggest some bilsteins. The Rancho 9K's are good with the remote in the cab, but the Bilstein are a great shock too, and they're not to expensive. I have the Cognito kit on my truck with the Bilsteins. You can check it out in My Garage to see the stance and look. Since your looking at this kit, its nice to see what it looks like on a truck before you get it. Good Luck.

Its a nice look it actually looks like your front is a tad higher than the back. Boy if I do the Cognito UCA level I will need to ditch the stock 245s. That scares me as I do almost everything I do for mileage and bigger tires means less mileage.

Here is what we offer, we have a shock that will work on a STOCK truck now but later you can upgrade to the Cognito UCA package. See NCT 0-3 shocks: http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/index.php?cPath=2_21_367

Also something I have been working on is Cognito UCA packages put together in what we see most people doing. Since there is no set "package" you buy the UCA kit and make the package fit your needs and budget. Look at this like to see the packages I have put together: http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/index.php?cPath=2_377_386

Let me know if you need more help Dirtbikindad393. I also saw you asked over on the other site but I didn't post the link's...:)
