Before embarking on my little 1200 mile journey, I had the truck serviced, LOF etc. Oil came out black as coal, and fresh delo 400 was once again poured in

I drove to the coast, went to DTT, Visited with family and friends etc.
Filled back up and drove home.

I had a heartattack when i checked my dipstickCensored !

No Oil?


A quick doublecheck revealed that i had oil..... But it was not black! It looked brand new! Granted this was on a highway drive thru the mountains, but still!:ro)

Mileage for the trip was 20.66 MPG (US) 558 miles per and 27 gals used each way!

I really dislike the stock convertorCensored We installed a NIB stock Ally convertor and it sucks.... fluid coupling is terrible, I can walk through lockup like nothing at WOT on 5X3 !

Ah well.... It will be interesting to see others with Twins soon... and my new Convertor will be ready in 5 weeks..... NEW flexplate is on order as well; and possibly REACTOR will get the call to make a Billet Replacement.

Thanks Dave, I'd love to try one, but until the new flexplate comes in, I am running the stock convertor as the 'fuse' for now.Censored

My DTT single is now at home in Stefan's LLY:(

New FP and Convertor will be done in 5 weeks...... might have to bite the bullet and order another stocker for now... unless someone has a spare one laying around?

Yep..... went from overfuelled to underfuelled.

No more blacking out traffic lanes.

Actually you can make it smoke, but now it requires more technique than the neanderthal 'mash the pedal'.

Set the cruise, flip the switch and roll into it.
But the black does not last forever.
