I know, I know it's been asked a million times but I still can't find a straight answer. What cheap mod exists that will allow me to get rid of the limiter? I've already got the OJ and will be getting the new Quad tuner shortly. I don't want to have to buy another programmer just to get rid of my limiter. There's got to be an electronic guru on here that knows something. Please help. Racing season starts in less that a month here. Thanks.

I reckon no one is gonna expend resources on the LB7 now that the LLY is front and center. I'm still waitin' for the basic tuner that ONLY does tire and gear changes, read/clear codes, and speed limiter removal....Dang! I can't find that dangling-carrot smiley....oh well don't hold your breath. Did you look into the Predator? Not sure if the Quad can do it.

That may not be entirely true about the LLY. With the H1 Alpha using the LB7, there is still a viable market. These motors still may be appearing the Med Duty trucks as well. Just my $.02.

I have also been waiting for the removal of the speed limiter on the 2001 models. I've asked why certain programmers, such as the Predator and Bullydog, will remove the limiter on the 2002 and later models and not the 2001's. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could give me an answer. My only hope is Banks. They may be working on a "black box" just for this purpose. When, and if they do, I sure hope they include the 2001 models. I'm keeping mine until the new HD style comes out in 2008. This is the fourth model I have owned since the redesign in 1999. I need something with actual sheet metal differences next time.

I didn't realize that the programers I've been looking at won't do the '01s. I have an early Juice (ver. 4.31) and I like it fine, but I've been thinking of adding one of the others that adjust for gears, tires, etc. But now... Thanks for that heads up, Scott.

I suppose so. I'll look it over some more and let you know what I think. I do like the idea of operating it for short periods, like testing/ racing. Thank you, Max.

No. With all the speed limit removal products on the market I never bothered.

Too bad. I bet you could sell quite a few of them to the guys here that still have '01's.
