I have a LBZ with 111,XXX miles. Recently I was pulling out of my driveway and felt quite a bit of resistance in the front end when I turned the wheel. Thought I ran over something at first or that my tierods were fcuked up. I do use 4wd mainly off-road, so I engaged the 4wd and then back to 2wd, when going back to 2wd heard a pop for the first time.

So anyways, could this be my CV joints going bad? I still need to lift up the truck and check the bearings.

***I was in an accident 3 months back where a driver hit my front left side, braking my left tie rod! What kinds of damage may this have caused??

Thanks for your time and .02

if the front end is draging in turns, you are in 4wd on dry pavement. there is to much traction for the tires to slip in turns, and it drags.
Unless the front diff was damaged in the accident, don't worrt about it. the hubs jsut kinda sit there.

I know that im not in 4wd bc I was able to power break the rears loose just a few hrs ago. Mabye the rear is locking? It only occurs at slow speeds, on the highway I notice nothing. PErhaps I should add some LS additive to my rear diff?

Or if my front CV axles are bad, how would I know??
