Search for PMD on this site and start reading. ;)

'93 doesn't have a PMD it has the mechanical inj pump.

The '93 does in fact have the same lift pump and ops issues as the '94-ups. Do a search for "lift pump" and "OPS" to check your fuel delivery system heath.

flow rate is ok. and the decal on the truck says 1993 but when entering the vin into the scanner it says it is a 1994. when driving when letting off and mashing it again it fells as though you cut off the ignition. but only last for second.

But before you get too far into it, with the truck idling, open the petcock next to the thermostat housing. Does the truck die or continue to idle? If it continues to idle, read posts regarding pmd. If it dies, read posts regarding lift pump and OPS.

Look at the IP, does it have two throttle cables or a couple of wiring harnessess? Is there a black box on the driver'side of the IP, that's the PMD.

I had the same problem with my 93 and turns out it was a bad lift pump and ops (oil pressure switch). Should fix your problems and you'll be able to redline again!!

Also, with this same note, if you just did any work of any sort on the filters or anything fuel related, make sure you have gotten all the air out of the fuel system.
