I have a 01 GMC 2500HD with the D/M and Allison auto currently in the shop getting the injectors replaced. While its in there I want them to take a look at a couple other areas I have a concern with. Every once in awhile, after stopping at a light or stopsign, when going to accelerate the trans does not immeadetly go into gear. It takes a second.. like it slips then bangs into gear. Only does it about once a month or so... Also, this truck cant get out of its own way in 2 wheel drive in the snow. Heck I can even get stuck in 4x4 in snow. It has the firestone steeltexs on it. Ive been advised by a few others to try different tires and I will be doing that soon. Is there any advice or bulletins I can pass on to the service writer to the dealer where my truck is. I think I found the TSB I was looking for. #02-07-30-020 Im going to have them reprogram the TCM with the lastest info. This sound about right? Thanks Dan

Try some different tires and make sure your calibrations are currrent.
