Had an idler blow apart last saturday,,,screwed the belt,,,which wrapped around the clutch fan,,,and also the fan apart,,,which,ended up causing a leak in the rad!!!
The fan clutch seams to have been screwed up in the commotion,,,and stays engaged,,,
My question is,,,I now have the fan and fan clutch off,,,,so what holds the pulley that runs behind the clutch fan??? It doesn;t seam loose,,but could be a built up ridge of rust holding it on right now!!!
Is that pulley held on by the big nut that unthreads with the fan clutch??? Thanks in advance!!!

It's pressed on. The fan clutch nut is kinda a "backer" to the pulley.

So if I left the fan and clutch off,,,I wouldn;t have to worry about the pulley flying off and destroying a ton of $tuff????
