A month ago I had Banks Engineering, in Azusa, CA, install a BIG HOSS Bundle pkg on my '02 Chev 2500HD Duramax. It was quite an eventful experience :banghead: , I must say, and will share it with everyone after I send a letter to their customer service person (and get a response back).

I went with Banks mostly because of the reputation and the fact that everything (including exhaust brake) could be installed at once, in one place, and everything would best together because everything is an engineered Banks product .

So my question (and need of :help: ) is in regards to the power response. Regardless of the level setting with the Six Gun (I only tested 1-4, 5 & 6 make me nervous, I this is my daily driver), I don't notice a power response until 2400 rmps. I have tested the response in levels 1-4, form a dead start, a rolling start, and even cruising speeds of 40 mph. It seems as though I start off with more than stock power (I believe it is due to the exhaust, intake, and intercooler) and then at 2400 rpms, something kicks my truck in the A$$ end and it takes off like a rocket. The front end feels like it is taking lift off. I love it when this happens :D, but is this how it is suppose to respond? Should I notice more at the start?

I hope the more experienced and wise bank users/owners can enlighted me with the expectations I should have with my BANKS pkg. Thanks :)!

I don't have any banks stuff. But something sure doesn't sound right!

I am not going to claim that I am experienced with Banks, although I do have it, and I have played with it. I also went with Banks for their reputation and safety features.
Level 1 is stock and then an increase of 25 hp per level after that up to 125 (give or take)
I can't see how you don't get much of a response until 2400 rpm-- that seems high to me. I run level 4 for my normal driving. I know if I kick it from a stop she goes pretty fast, I do know that it is relative to the boost (my thoughts) the more boost I build the faster the truck releases.
I to am afraid of level 5 & 6 only because I have a stock Allison, I did try level 6 once and I either de-fueled or the tranny safety feature kicked in but my tail end went over a bump while she was kicked in the ass. Anyway I am pleased with the performance, I am thinking maybe you should lift the hood and see if the programmer is recognizing the speed loader (just look in the book)
Hey if all else fails take it back to them, or slap her on a dyno.

Just my thoughts

Haulin Doubles,
My added power comes in well before 2400rpm in levels 2-4. Remember, level 1 is stock. If you don't have the speedloader, level 6 is more aggressive for low boost fueling than the other levels. If you do have the speedloader, this aggressive low boost fueling will effect levels 5 and 6.

I spoke with Jeff from Banks customer service. He is walking me through a few trouble shooting steps. He agrees that something is not properly working. He is also looking geographically for the closest Banks dealer, one that has Banks highest trust in.

Thanks for everyone's input. I get back with updates as progress happens.

I too recently installed the six gun with speedloader and MBRP Cool Dual on my '05 LLY (no kitty) and have not noticed a considerable difference in low-end performance and plenty in higher RPM levels (not where I spend most of my driving time). I have confirmed that the speed loader program is running by the blinking green light on the unit. My m.p.g., per driver display, has not budged more than 0.1 m.p.g. highway, city or oterhwise - what's the deal. Any info you learn from Jeff @ Banks would be appreciated.
