Im always reading the mpg suffers while using a winter blend of diesel. Does anyone have any hard numbers on this? Are we talking 1+ mpg or more?

briano 03-23-2005, 11:13 PM that is going to vary with each motor, but I have heard of a 2-5mpg drop.. the winter blend will cause worse mileage because it has less lubricities so it does not jell up. Its suggested to use #2 blend if you can, but of course if you are in a climate that is freezing then you will almost have to use #1 blend. sammy 03-24-2005, 12:16 AM I am losing at least 2mpg on the highway, even more in town with Winter blend.
