Just wondering what seems to be about the average price for a complete 6 inch kit install on our trucks? I was quoted 1,000 bucks...

1k for a lower end kit? You'll probably spend a bit more than that, give or take a few hundred. I paid $1500 for an RCD way back. Plus labor..

are you talking labor or kit + labor? kits anywhere fro 1300ish up to 2000ish labor average probably 500-1000$ also depends on upgrades you want.

Me and a buddy installed mine, with a hoist and proper tools, on a new truck it was a piece of cake. :exactly: I actually enjoyed it!

Thanks for the input guys...I have the Fabtech kit already with the upgraded steering components... I just have to have it installed now...I guess a thousand bucks just for the install is a bit on the high side, but still reasonable..

It sounds about right. There's quite a lot involved from what I saw when mine was done. See if you can get them to include the alignment for that price.

A knuckle kit like the rcd fabtech rancho etc I would do myself. We did the 6 inch rcd on my brother's truck the other night, took around 10 hours. Pretty simple actually, and we didn't use a hoist, just jacked it up on the floor of the shop. Stuck some jackstands under the front frame horns. His truck is a 98, but the kit is basically the same for all the chevy trucks now. If I got a lift for my hd I would just do it myself. All we had someone else do was the alignment.

An RCD kit runs about $1700 on average and $500 install plus aligment. Much more than that your gettin ripped on. If you have questions call (480)443-2559 or 1(800) 947-7007...good people here to help if needed.
