Can you guys give me some advice on these two sizes?

I am freaking out because I just bought a set of BFG MT KM2s in the 255/85/16s and I'm down almost 5 MPG with them.(Yes this is hand calculated and compenstated for the 8.5% change in tire height.) I haven't had more then a whole tank thru the truck with them on, but I want to swap them out early enough if this is going to be an issue for the life of the tire.

I am contemplating going to the BFG A/T in the 235/85/16 so that is the reason for the comparison.

So what do you think I should do on this one?

That seems odd. I gained 1mpg when I went to 255"s a couple years ago.
If you do go to 235"s let me know and I might buy your 255"s for my dually :D.

That is wierd. I am up a little bit on mpg's with the Toyo M55's in that size.

Are you giv'n it more than normal?

Switch stations?

Switch to winter fuel?

How heavy are the they? I know they are pretty aggressive tread, but 5mpg seems too big of a penalty!

X3 my mileage seem to of dropped a lot at first, but I'm still getting 20 MPG hwy my have dropped a little. Now driving in town it is down since the tires are bigger and heavier. I have 255s KMs not 2s though.

I was originally going to get the M55s as well but availability and pricing here sucked. They were quoting me $285-$315 just for the tire. Then Discount was telling me that they would have a hard time warrantying them because of availabilty blah blah blah.

I've been really really babying it the past two days and I got it up a 1 MPG. But when I posted I drove just like I normally would, which was like an old man as my fiance would say.

Same stations, but don't know about when and if they've changed to winter fuel.

they are 15 lbs heavier then the stock Bridgestones and 2 lbs lighter then the M55s

What PSI do you run your's at unloaded? Anyone else with the KM2s, what are you running your tires at?

Thanks it's nice when you get here but tough dealing with traffic when you go into Albuquerque

Keep pinging as they have free ship deals every week or so. Yeah, sucks as you already got yours. I got them a year ago.

I worked at the Intel plant, so the commute was short like 5 minutes. That was back when they only had fab 7 then 9.1. It's a lot different now, eh? I toured inside 9 when it was dirt floor from wall to wall with streetlights on telephone poles to guide the trucks.
