Has anyone used the new mcgaughys drop kits of any kind. My dually is driving me crazy with the overload popping all the time. It already has helper bags, this seems to only help when the gooseneck is loaded. I now that I could just take the overload out but it is still to high. Any help with the lowering would be helpful.

Never ever lower a dually. This is a great truck with 1 ton suspension made to haul and perform. Lowered duallys look like disco trucks and no disco truck is a truck. IMHO!!!!

love my lowered 03 crewcab dually and tow around 12k with on a titan class v hitch. also have the tow bags as well. My kit is by djm suspension have had it on for 30k miles now it is the 6/8 drop not the 2/4 or 3/5 by mcgaughys. They also offer a 3/5 as well without the big wheels needed, djm does it by a lower control arm, just depends on what drop you want. but too each there own

Nice dually, is that Lake Travis. I pull a 40' gooseneck trailer most of the time, the only reason that I am not going that low is that I am on and off job sites most of the time . The truck really looks great. Thanks for the reply.

It's lake lewisville. You could do the 2/4 or 3/5 for that rig and still have some nice ground clearance. jsut if you do it to get the tranny crosmember, setis it level with the frame instead of hanging down. My older 1997 chevy crewcab had the gooseneck hitch and I pulled a small dump with it loaded with dirt and gravel lowered with a 4/6 didnt have any troubles neither, a good friend drives a GULP (ford) with a 3/5 and is off the road all sorts of times when they set up metal barns and hasn't had a complaint with hitting anything to make him wish he didnt have it on.
