If you can't find a pump that you like that is a flow thru, then just plumb it with a T between one side of the pump and the other and put a shutoff ball valve in the middle, if the pump dies turn the valve ON or OPEN and then fuel will be sucked around the pump and your good to go.

That's what I plan on doing when I finally get mine installed

The ac delco that Kennedy sell for the 6.5 part number EP309, Is the setup i run, not hp pump, but i run a pre oem 2 micron filter and pump right after it. This has proved to be cost effective for me. Fass is 550.00, and my amsoil/dahl filter and ac delco pump with wiring cost me less than 300.00.
I can unplug the pump and engine still runs, But if engine stops, oil pressure sending unit shuts off the pump.

Kennedy's new pumps will flow if one were to quit. Very very quiet as well, almost too quiet, as i was used to the annoying arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from the holley. Very nice pumps, and simple............... did i mention there quiet!!!!!!

Yes the 6.5 pumps are a flow thru.
Don't know how much better they are now.
I went thru 3 of them in 10 years on my 93 Dually.
But they did there job.

Regardless of what pump or filter set up you have, I have the Nicktane installed too, you should still run a bypass line around all your add on pumps and filter's just in case there's a problem you can quicklt eliminate them as a problem or identify them as a problem.

I've tried several and Kennedy's pump was the best by far. Excellent delivery, can't here it run and there in no need for fuel recirculation or loss of flow through when shut down since its centrifugal. No problems like the ones being experienced here with the FASS and Preporator. No tank modifications necessary. Period.......

Oh and I forgot to mention it will be the last lift pump you buy for your truck. Maybe even two or three trucks.

You may also want to look at SuperDiesel's lift pump setup. I am running one on my truck and has flawless. It has 2 seperate pumps so you can have the small pump for everyday driving and only turn on the big one on demand. You can PM SuperDiesel and he will send you some pics

Is this the AC Delco EP309 or a different pump you tested from Kennedy? I know with the EP309 I can hear a bit of hammering thru the line when standing beside the truck, not too bad though.

Are they finished and for sale now?:)I may have a small batch of heads next week some time. Putting the finishing touches on the looks and such. Motorss due in any day now too. Man I wish things would start happening faster...

No need for a bypass either.

It's not the EP309. This is a centrifugal pump and it is so quiet you will not know it's there.

I'm running Super Diesel's on demand lift pump set up. I am very happy with it's performance. You can run your stock pump or you can use either one or both of his at the flip of a switch. The difference over the single pump I was running before is amazing, no more fuel starving for me.:ro)

Oh and I forgot to mention it will be the last lift pump you buy for your truck. Maybe even two or three trucks.I think the JK pump will be a big seller in the daily driver market. I also think the TTS Extreme will be a big seller in the Extreme HP market. That does not mean theat the FASS and Prep are junk.

The problems described recently went like this. One truck with one installer had problems with 3 pumps. Tells me that might have been isolated?????

The other problem was on trucks running aftemarket pickup tubes and EXTREME programing. These problems were also in conjuntion with vehicles and owners who are selling there own solution.

There alot of people who use FASS and Prep with no problems. If you add the cost of a 500,000 + milage pump. plus a water separator and a filter, and an air separator, they are not that expensive.

The new air dog 80 is a slick little package. It is very compact and comes with a Fleetgaurd Stratapore filter witch is argubaly the best filter media available.

I have the 80 and as soon as the weather clears I will install it per manufactures specs. If it has problems I will let you all know.

There are many liftpumps available, I doubt there will be a single pump that is best for everyone.

If any one is interested in the Super Diesel lift pump (on demand style), you can PM GMCSLEHD. Price them out too. Go into the light.

Superdiesel has another viable option. 2 pumps equals redundancy and supply on demand.

Too each his own.
