Has anyone tried the toyo at 285 75 r17 (34.1" tall 11.5" wide) on a NBS 2500HD? I am considering these vs the 285 70 r17 because of the extra height. I need some feedback on if these will work with the tbars cranked up.

Thanks

Did you not get enough responses to your thread a month or two back? You'll probably have to do a little trimming since it's the equivalent of a 305/75R16. This link here (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91242) says what you need for larger tire sizes to eliminate any rubbing. It's at the very top of the "Wheels & Tires" section for easy access...

It will rub. My 285/70/17 will rub at hard lock w/ a little bit of compression.

Yeah, it will rub. How much depends on your wheels' offset and backspacing. I had to cut away quite a bit of wheel well shield, and my 285 70 17 Maxxis tires are just under 33" tall. They still rub a tiny bit occassionally when backing up and turning.

What size tire did you end up with?

I just mounted up 285/75/17 nitto dura grapplers on H2s. I cranked the tbars 4 turns and they still rubbed a good bit. I had to trim about an inch off the front bumper and about 6" off the rear fender liners. It was still close at the rear fender mount area so I took a BFH and took care of that pretty well.

Hey DBN107 any pictures of your setup? I am looking at going with the same tires as you but different rims. Just trying to figure out how much needs to be trimmed.
