Looking at used vehicles. I'm going to avoid the LB7 because of the injector issues. Is there any major difference between the 04 -05 LLY that I should be aware of?

Besides overheating on some occasions no.. I would try to find an LBZ if you can..

The 04.5 and 05 LLY are the same engine.

Are you asking the diference between it and the 06 LLY? There are huge differences there.
