Well it's been sitting in my driveway now for 9 months,(I've got a whole 800 miles on it) still can't find a soul in the country who wants to build a body for it.:(
So, if anyone is interested, please contact me. kpascoe@centralstatesbus.com.

Sorry guys if been out of the office. My dealer was sure I could find someone to build me a bed for a 12 1/2 ft Fleetwood Camper. All of the body builders are afraid of the center of gravity being to high. I have 1985 F350 crew cab daully with a 7.3 L Gale Banks Turbo diesel that I had the camper on, I also tow a 14,500 lbs. enclosed race car trailer also. The truck tows it ok, but the load is very large and is a little much for a 1 ton truck. I thought a Kodiak would be the thing, I love it and to sell it so quickly after buying, has not been one of my favrorite things to do.

I do not see how the center of gravity would be too high.. Some of the things they build on the oil company trucks round here look way worse than a camper... Have you considered putting a flat bed on it, then adapting that to fit the camper? The cab is higher than a pickup, so you would need to block up the camper - putting a shelf with storage in it, for the camper to sit on, would clear the cab roof, and give a place for all the stuff you want to bring with you, but don't have room for. Wow, you could have fun building that arrangement..

Hey Pascoe: If you are looking for a 12'-0" steel flat bed I have one with all steel diamond plate deck a nice bulk head and has very little use. I purchased it in 94 had installed on a 1976 F500 with 32000 miles on it it sits in my driveway and the truck has only 50400 miles now. The truck came from the factory as ordered by the previous owner with no power steering and single speed rear axle. I just ordered a utility bed for my new 5500 and the shop where I am having the bed made whats the truck but not the bed. The bed is very clean and will fit the 34" frame rails of your truck. $900.00 Takes it and this bed is very nice. If you are interested I will post some pictures of the bed for you. my email is LAURELSUMMIT@***.NET LET ME KNOW
