I have a buddy that is pritty much going be given a 03 1ton an he was woundering what it would take to turn it into a SRW,Can we just take the spacers off or do we need to find a SRW axel? an if so will it bolt right up?

rkready 11-23-2008, 04:15 AM The only way to take away the width is to change out axle to srw or get a rim with more backspacing. Let me know if you want to trade. X2 Please don't let him ruin that truck. Convince him to keep it DRW, they are so much more unique. You can't throw a rock without hitting a single rear wheel truck, you see far fewer duallys running around! Anything he plans on doing or building with a SRW will be that much more unique when done with a DRW. If he is beyond seeing this make him sell it someone who appreciates it for what it is. Then he can go buy a SRW and be like every one else. Big Butted trucks need lovin' too!
