Both of my power mirrors are not extending, The passenger side is working fine, drivers side is not extending. I can hear the motor working.
How hard is this to fix? any help appreciated.

I had the same problem. you have to be careful and remove the rubber cover, there are clips at the mirror end, clean the shafts, then they will work, there is a chevy bulletin on this that will explain the process.
It took my Chevy dealer three tries to fix my two mirrors! their proto call is to clean and re-lub first, and if that does not fix the problem, then they are clear to order replacement motor/gear assy. Now I have new motors & gears, and it works great!

Or you can just do what I did and go flying into the ditch and rip them off. :drinking:

Mine gave up the ghost after one year and 20K miles. Dealer cleaned and lubed one side and replace motor/clutch in the other. Now at 50K miles and they're still working good. It seems to help if I run them in and out once a week. I don't tow that often so the mirrors sometimes don't get used for a long time. If the motor is running but mirror is not moving, have a helper pull/push and most of the time the mirror will start moving on it's own again.
I love the feature but have not been impressed with the overall quality of the mirrors. Motor/clutch problems and lots of vibration at highway speeds.
