hey all my A/C-heater controll unit finally craped out on me and its kinda cold with out heat this time of year. So does any one have a spare unit that they would be willing to part ways with? I found one on flea bay but I found mixed reviews on what controller will work with a 95. Some sellers say that the 95 is a unique unit but the one that they are selling is diffrent than what is in my truck. Mine matches one of the ones for a 96 - 00 truck. Any help would be great, thanks guys.

If heaat right now would help set the heat door to heat. On a 95 that had manual heat the heat door was behind the ash tray. And not to hard to get to. It would not take much to see if there was a control motor there. Remove it set door (use the motor as a knob than tape motor inplace)and take your time to find the right parts for your heat. The reason that I posted this is it was 17 deg this morning when I got in my truck. And it is cold enough to wait hor the heat to warm up. I would not want to wait till I found the parts while I drove in a cold truck.

Iam not saying dont fix it right. But if you had to drive it this might be a bay to do so warm till it is fixed.

Have you checked the fuses I worked on an s-10 that had controls like my 95. It would blow just cold air. It had a blown fuse for the blend door.( temp door) Once it was replaced it didnt blow again.

Im not sure about the fuses but I had another controller that I pulled out of a truck from work and it worked flawlessly. so i know that its the controller not the relay or the fuses. its been acting funny for about 9 months but it finally quit yesterday.

so about getting the heater door open I will take a look at it tonight and see what I can figure out, a temp fix is better than nothing.

If you brow the other controller set the heat then unplug the temp controller till you have a new one just plug in the fan and selector
