I hear some of you guys talking about setting your idle @ 1500 or 1250 etc...
I must be missing something here. I did not know that you could set your idle. I thought that when you cranked it up it idled at whatever speed it idled at.
Is this some kind of manual switch to flip or is it a feature on newer trucks?? Sorry for the ignorance!!:(

Sell the Hypertech and get EFI Live. You can set it at whatever you want. Mine set at 780 rpm.

With EFI you can set the idle per temperature. Get EFI Live. All your tuning/scanning/logging is done with one package.
If your idle is at stock, the idle is 680.
The PPE high idle is certainly less expensive. Just remember to turn it off before you drive.

If you search online you will find the instructions on how to add a high idle switch to your truck. all you need is a terminal for the ECM and a switch. Did it to mine and I can adjust the idle w/cruise buttons. best cheap upgrade ever.........Does it even get cold in NC??
