just wondering...cause my afe is starting to look like crap. also i cant get the dang thing outta the airbox without takin the big intake pipe loose. anyone else have this?

I use the AFE brand cleaner/oil. I had the same problem with my intake pipe being too long and needing to take it all loose to change the filter (I have an 03 also). Called AFE and told them my problem and they said that some units were shipped for 03s that were the wrong size, approx. .5 to 1 inch to long. They sent me a new unit that took care of the problem. Hope this helps.

I was told that the K&N cleaner can be used but the oil is different, and should only use AFE oil.

i dont see why it would matter, most of it is just a marketing game, they are like only use our stuff on our products. the K&N oil is prob the same as AFE just with red dye
