Calling all tranny rebuilders and experts
If you remove the driveshaft from the tranny does any tranny fluid leak out, and if it does how much?
Thx in advance
Diesel Dragon
Cant answer with 100% certainty, but I do not recall it leaking fluid when it was taken off (Watched as Mike L took car apart for SC III)

Is it 2X4 or 4X4? Partsguy 662 is correct driveshaft will go into transfer case if 4X4, and into trans if 2X4. I always like to have rear of truck higher than front and a clean pan under housing where the shaft comes out. When you are done just pour fluid back into filler tube with funnel and you are good to go.

If its a 2wd, you dont open the seal anyways, its a flange on the tranny...
