Where can I go about picking up the light strip that is stock dually's. The three red lights centered under the tailgate. I like the looks of them. I'm sure I could figure something out, but whats the easiest way to put them on my 02HD and tap into the wiring without screwing something up?? Thanks

just tap into the trailer light wires, I think the one you want is brown for power, then your ground can be done right at the light itself.

When you drill the hole for the wires, you can get by with drilling a smaller 3/8 inch hole by taking the plug apart.

Be sure you grind the mounting tabs off the back.

When you buy the kit from GM, it comes with a male plug on the light and a female with a couple pig tail wires.

I wired mine into the license plate lights, its right there where the light mounts up anyways.

Anybody know a part # on the plug-in wiring harness for the truck?

my dealer couldnt find an adapter, he said the plug is part of the complete wiring harness for the trucks that came with the lighting option. i just cut the plug off and spliced them into my license plate lights.

I tapped into the liscense plate lights also. But instead of drilling holes I mounted the light to the bumper with 3M moulding tape. It looks the same as the ones that are mounted with screws.
