Does anyone leave their winter front on when plowing? My buddy does with his 07 classic. I don't want to overheat this PIG!

I have with only the grill cover, just to see what happens, but only on short trips. Good (bad) way to get temps up quick, even around 0* F.

I did except when we would have to make a trip to plow a school 8 miles away.

I pretty much agree with above, it is not needed and with the blade blocking much of the air low over heating could be an issue.

yup seen the same thing with my uncles LB7... No cover engine temp never really gets warm unless your running hard down the road with the plow. However tranny temp creeps enough without the cover. With my truck and no blade my tranny runs warmer when it 40+ out and i dont take the cover off.

I do it all the time with no issues, but it's generally pretty cold here. Just keep an eye on the temps and be ready to remove the cover if you need to.

I would w/a blade, you can block enough air and work it enough to keep it warm

I tell all my customer to NOT run the winter front, the trans could OH. Normaly mine all run warm enough with just the plow, no winter front required. On a side note, got a surprise 3" snow overnite.

I dont drive far......with the winter front and the plow. But I will and have plowed with the front on. We do commercial lots.... We try and get a pattern going where we wont have to back up. Just keep driving circles. Didnt ever have a prob last year with it.
