Just an fyi... I noticed today that Delvac 1 carries the CI-4 Plus designation and Truck and SUV is CI-4. Just bought some Truck and SUV at Wally World and it's in the new looking bottles, still has CI-4 only. Just food for thought. Here is a good article related to these two API classifications.

I saw it at Wally world as well. I will try it when I am ready to change my oil.

For an LB-7, I don't think it makes any difference, as the CI-4 Plus issues relate to soot in oil associated with EGR engines that may have very long oil change intervals.
In other cases, there is a time delay in phasing in new packaging with all the latest designations. That does not necessarily mean that the oil in the package does not meet the latest specification.
Over at the www.bobistheoilguy.com site, populated by a bunch of nuts (including me) who have a fetish for automotive lubricants, the common belief is that Delvac 1 and Truck & SUV are essentially the same product in different packages for different markets.
I see that Wally World now has Truck and SUV in 5 quart containers for something like $19.97 per container. Whoopee!! And two containers is 10 quarts, just the right amount for an LB7 oil change.

Sounds like the "plus" designation might be of a little more benefit to LLY owners. No EGR on my LB7. I change at 5K miles either way so extended drain is not a big deal. Good information, though, and thanks for sharing!
I just purchased M1 Truck and SUV for the first time. The jug mentions it's approved for use in the "GM Duramax". Wonder if GM really endorsed it? Wouldn't think Mobil would do that without GM's permission.

I think both oils are basically the same thing. Just one is bought in gallons and one is bought in quarts. This is what I read on the mobil site. I prefer to buy gallons since it takes less time to fill. I may be wrong though, since I am not an expert.

Even an '05 does not spec CI-4+.
So, Mobil1 T&S meets the specs in my owners manual, so you could say it's ok.
At $20 for 5 qts, it's a great deal. Just bought 5 jugs today (they had them, and they sometimes do not. Two changes for the truck and one for the PWC.
