Hi Guys:
I have a 2003 Sierra LB7. I bought it in July '03, and in January, '04 at 14,000 miles, I had an injector go bad.
At that time they did not have the "replace eight" policy in place, and they only swapped the one injector, all under warranty.
Fast forward to now. I have 65,000 miles, and it's been over five years since I bought the truck, and it will be five years since they worked on the injectors here soon.
What I see is that I'm going to hit the seven-year mark before I hit 200,000 miles so I have two questions:
1] Does the clock start at purchase date, or at repair date?
2] Does the fact that they already did injector work nix the seven-year limit? My bro-in-law, who has a 2001, is on his thrid set and he says it's all being done under warranty even though he's past 7 years.
I'm thinking I should start checking these suckers if they're covered still so if I need a replacement I can get it before GM goes TU.
Thanks for any comments.
