My vacuum pump does not suck and that sucks. Anyone know a good source for one ? there is a new one on Ebay but its made in Hungary. I may take a chance on it. The cost of used ones are not that attractive. Especially when they also can fail at any time.Winter is almost here and I need vacuum to get the transfer case into 4WD.

did a search on this a while ago. found a few pods for about 90 from a few suppliers. wouldn't even bother with used since they never last. if you do a search on here you should find a discussion fo switching to an electric vac pump, used in other vehicles. i was going to go that route, but found one of my 4 pumps actually works. for now lol

mine does not have a pod. Its the 1 piece unit. I found it at Rock Auto for $113. Its a little more than I wanted to spend but they have done me well in the past.

the pod mounts on the shaft with 2 bolts. you just get the vacuum part and swap it out on your gear shaft, unless you have a belt drive pump, which it doesn't look like from your garage photo. i've had good luck with rock auto also.

Oh!!! I knew I should have waited before I pulled the trigger on that. Oh well, I have always been an impulse buyer. Thanks for the info.
