Hey everyone, i have been searching, but cant seem to find what i am looking for. I am looking at the precision interface from crutchfield for my truck http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=50900&i=469GM12AX2&tp=422
on long trips i like to bring my laptop for dvd use and have a fm modulator now to play it over the radio.... well.... it stinks. So i started searching this section for differant adapters that would work with my factory 6 disk in dash. It looks as if this PIE unit could be what i am looking for. I want to be able to hook up my laptop, and mp3 player to my radio without a FM modulator, and one that will function with my radio.
My question is, is this what i am looking for? It says goes in place of the changer plug, i do not have an external changer, but i do have the in-dash 6 disk, I assume these are differant? Also i have the XM capability, but do not use the service. From looking, it seems I pull the radio, and plug this into a CD changer plug in the back, and thats it. Just want to double check that this will work with my radio and for my application before i order it.
I also dont understand why you have to put it on XM1 then hold your left ear and hit up and down real quick while saying bloody mary..
Thank you for any help you can offer.
