No motor mounts are different trans crossmember is different trans will not bolt up. Your best bet is to find a wrecked d-max get engine trans and complete electrical from it and have fun.

I can get my hands on a wrecked d-max. I know that I have to get the engine, tranny, harness, BCMS, transfer case, drive shaft, rear end, and cluster. Will I have to use a body lift to clear the engine or will it all fit?

Not at all easy, and you have a truck that match it's vin number. You will have to put in your inner cooler and all the different components under the hood. There are things that you will need to change, that you won't even realize. Like the the cab wiring that links the dash and all that to the ecm. It will be an absolute nightmare, and the truck will be down for a long time. It would be cheaper to sell what you have, and buy a used dmax truck, then change it out.

I would rather buy a new truck then go through that.

Used diesel pickups are priced lower than they ever have been before! Get one while they are cheap, dont waste your time swapping in a dmax.2 yrs ago i would have told you to do the swap,as clean used diesel trucks were so expensive. With the high fuel prices this summer, most ppl who drove them to be cool, got rid of them, and flooded the market with lightly used diesels.
