I used my hands one time and a oil filter wrench one time, I was able to get the oil filter wrench around just enough to get it broke loose.

I used a filter wrench that has a strap with a rachet fitting on the end. It broke loose easly. The strap is connected to a metal bar that the rachet hooks to.

check out the diy section there's a good write up. I use a flexible filter wrench but it's really tight .

I used an oil filter wrench, but had to take the battery out to get the new filter back on.

I use a craftsman aluminum strap wrench from sears (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00945571000P?vName=Tools&cName=HandTools,GeneralPurpose&sName=Adjustable%20Wrenches&psid=FROOGLE01&sid=IDx20070921x00003a) ... just feed the strap around the backside of the filter .. work well ..

El cheapo nylon strap wrench works for me, just try to get the strap up high on the filter so you don't collapse it under pressure.

I use a 1" rubber strap wrench like that - cheaper version.

Actually I used to do it the way you guy's do it, I usded a strap wrench and it was a pain.
Now I remove the intake tube, undue the two hose on the filter housing, remove the two 12mm bolts on the filter housing and remove it completely.
Changing the fuel filter on the bench is much easier.

Just remove the inner fender well, it works well. Or you can get it from the top but its a pain. It's pretty easy after you've done it a few times. Just be very careful with the plastic bleeder and the wif.

The filter wrench that pivots where the straping is works wonders. I don't have to take anything out of mine. Get it at an auto parts store for like 7 bucks.

None. Fuel level in the filter you are taking off is about 1 inch below the top.
