Hey guys..I just got some new shocks for my truck and was wondering whats the best way of installing them..For the front...Do I have to loosen the top first or the bottom...I thinking if I lift the truck ...and unbolt the shock..will the a-arms drop???? Im doing this job in my driveway and just want to do it right and not mess anything up...and for the REAR..Where do I lift..I dont think I like the rear axle because then the shocks are depressed??? Please help...Thanks

When I did them on my 1/2 ton a few years back, I just layed under the rear and unbolted the old and bolted in the new. I always take the bottom loose first then the top. For the front, I jacked it up from the crossmember. removed the front wheel. Take the bottom lose and then the top. installation in reverse order.

Jack it up on the A-arm or it will drop some. I did the top first but you don't have too. I didn't jack up the rear, but I have no problem crawling around under the truck.
