Hey guys,

I need help here, I am going to be putting a system in my Crew Cab and I was wondering how much power wire would I need? As in how long do you think I should get it because I have a buddy that can get it cheap online. So if you would happen to give me a ball park estimate on how long I should get it that would be great!

Where are you mounting your amps?

I think 12-13 ft should be enough........

The amp will be mounted on the back wall behind the rear seat, so I figured about 20 ft would be good right?

I'd get 25 feet just to be safe....Funny thing is when you buy that much a spool with 100 feet is about the same price. I use Tsunami 900 series, which more shops carry.

Weldingsupply.com -- for all your power and ground wire needs. KnuKonceptz.com is good if you want prettier wire, but it all works the same. Knukonceptz has great terminals, fuse blocks, battery post connectors, etc.

Definitely get more than you think you will need -- 25 feet per run to the back of the cab will work. Also figure some additional footage for grounding to your frame.

Incidentially, I noticed a significant improvement by grounding both alternators to the batteries and then grounding both batteries to the frame (using 1/0) -- the stock grounds are far from adequate. In addition, supplementing the stock power wire from the alternators with additional runs from the (+) post on the alternator to the (+) post on the battery helped as well. My headlights still dim a little under extreme load (3,500+ watts RMS), but alot less than before.

Is that in your D/A? If you don't have a blow through setup I'd like to see some pic and info on what and how you got it in there.
Thanks

I think you should get it for a long time, you probably won't want to give it back.:muahaha:
