I am in the process of wiring up clearance lights on a 2007.5 LMM. I have no idea what to tie into for power. Fuse box tap will not work. Lights will go on as soon as wires are connected. Lights turn off as soon as switch is turned on. Seems like it is always hot. Does anyone have any ideas how to manage this situation. I am pulling out my hair. Any info would be great.

When I did mine I wired to the spot where it is supposed to go from the factory. Passengers side dash there is an access panel in there you will see the junction block, as you are looking at the block the lights get power from the lower left...at least that is how mine was. Hope this helps.;)

I just got done doing mine yesterday. I tapped into the headlight fuse under the hood. I had to buy a actual fuse tap.(different then the little inserts) Fuse tap was expensive but a much cleaner look. I used this forum to help with the install. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182315. As far as getting though the fire wall I ran the wire though a rubber boot located under the break peddle. You can pull it form inside, the wire was a little hard to get though but will work.
